DCASA Meetings<br />
With the end of the year coming, local DCASA regional branches<br />
across the country are meeting for the final time this year. At<br />
the Western Cape Regional Meeting (sponsored by DC Partner<br />
PDA) those who had not had the chance to attend the DCASA<br />
Annual Conference, which was held in Gauteng, were able to<br />
get a taste of some of the presentations and information which<br />
had been shared. There were also updates on the Credit Industry<br />
Forum, a look at the year ahead (it is predicted to be a tough<br />
year for consumers). The group discussions covered a range of<br />
topical matters from the NCR Debt Help system to dealing with<br />
individual credit providers. The upcoming DCASA AGM will be<br />
held during November in Kempton Park.<br />
Capitec DC Conference<br />
Capitec Bank held a Conference with Debt Counsellors in<br />
Stellenbosch during the month. The conference gave the Capitec<br />
team and local Debt Counsellors the chance to meet and<br />
chat face to face (as opposed to via email as is so common).<br />
Attendees got to enjoy refreshments and even some educational<br />
entertainment from the Silent Conductor who tried to get the<br />
audience in sync. Client retention and common processes were<br />
topics covered during the day and all who attended say they<br />
greatly enjoyed the event.
