SIORI KITAJIMA - HWY 62 ART
TOUR - MULTI TALENTED ARTIST
AND ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER
FOR RABBIT DWELLINGS
Among the numerous creative artists
who reside along the Hwy 62 corridor
between Morongo Valley and Twenty
Nine Palms, lives Siori Kitajima.
Siori is a rising young artist, originally
from Japan, who now lives in Morongo
Valley. She is primarily a visual artist,
who works in a wide variety of
media, and art techniques, including,
drawing, painting, sculpture, and
various multi-media, and the author
of a book titled,
"Visualizing
Spheres of
Knowledge".
Before moving to
Morongo Valley,
she lived near
Twenty Nine
Palms. Here
she experienced
constant
distraction
to the level of
frightening
experiences.
This was caused by the testing of
military weaponry, that is characteristic
of a Marine base such as the Marine
Corps Air Ground Combat Center at
AdamsArtExpose’
Twenty Nine Palms. It also reflects this
country's over zealous, overindulgence
with waging war and having the most
destructive weaponry to do it with.
Siori and Joseph Minadeo, who is with
Siori moved from Twenty Nine Palms to
Morongo Valley where they have found
it to be a more peaceful environment.
Siori works with a variety of 2
dimensional media including ink,
acrylic, and water color to create her
paintings and drawings. She is also the
CEO and Art Director of PaternBased
and is responsible for the look and feel
of the groups label. Recently Siori and
Joseph have acquired a pair of rabbits
which they
live with in their home/studio. Siori
began designing cardboard dwellings
