CREATURES: Springston<br />
School held its annual pet<br />
day recently, where pupils<br />
like Merrick took along<br />
their favourite animals<br />
for a bit of fun. There<br />
were many different pets<br />
at the event, including<br />
ponies, lambs, dogs, cats,<br />
budgies, rabbits and a<br />
pig. As part of the event,<br />
pupils talked to the judges<br />
about caring and raising<br />
an animal. Once the<br />
animals had been judged<br />
and prizes awarded, there<br />
was a dog parade, a lamb<br />
drinking race, followed by<br />
the grand parade where<br />
some animals wore fancy<br />
dress.<br />
