New Life of Currituck
Each year as a Church we take four Sunday’s leading up to
Christmas to remind ourselves of some ordinary people who
experienced some amazing things that surrounded the birth of
Jesus Christ. Today you and I are ordinary people, yet Jesus is
still showing up in our lives each day to affect change in us for
the purpose of sharing it with others. I wrote the following words
to challenge our Church, so I thought I might challenge you as
well, so here goes.
We want to prepare our hearts to receive and share in the
giving of unconditional love, contagious joy, reconcilable peace,
and hope that is real. The story of Joseph, Mary, The Wisemen,
and The Shepherds embraced the coming of Jesus Christ, not
knowing what tomorrow would bring. We can build our faith to
live a life of similar experiences. These men and women had
their world changed right before their eyes. Day to day they
experienced life changing events that affected them and those
around them.
Will you embrace your life today and be a light to the world
around you?
WARNING
Please watch out for the signs of change. The things you will
hear and see may be disturbing but have no fear Jesus Christ is
alive. Be on the alert because if you meet and see unconditional
love, contagious joy, reconcilable peace, and hope that is real
it can produce a Jesus Christ desire. Other hearts around you
have already encountered these things and their lives have been
radically changed. Here are some things to watch out for.
A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than letting
past experiences cause fear.
An increasing tendency to let God direct things rather than try to

An increased desire to extend unconditional love to others.
The ability to enjoy each moment.
A loss of desire to judge others.
A loss of interest in conflict.
A decision made to no longer worry.
Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.
Joy in connecting with others.
Frequent smiles.
If you see these things don’t hesitate to join in, you don’t want to
miss out on what is happening.
but be warned it is contagious

Night Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas,
no room at the inn
Mary and Josef knocked,
but they couldn’t get in
Then at the door the innkeeper appeared
I have nowhere else,
but the barn that is near
They settled down for the night,
in a manger of hay
And it was there in the night,
that our Savior was born
He lay in the manger,
with a donkey and goat
His mother gave birth
in this humble surround
The King of the world
was born in this state
So, when you are down
and think you are sad
Remember where our
dear Jesus started
If a manger of hay was
worthy of the King
What in the world have you to complain
