like Jeffrey Herlings will have<br />
to find elements of fun in his<br />
programme for it to work. If<br />
I just followed Herlings and<br />
copied his programme for a<br />
year then it simply wouldn’t<br />
work for me. Other guys have<br />
tried it!<br />
Olsen: It can be tiring and<br />
that’s why you are pretty<br />
worn out by the end of the<br />
season because you have<br />
been constantly trying to<br />
work, and think about being<br />
better and beating the other<br />
guys. Some days you have a<br />
lot of motivation and some<br />
days you don’t and I think it<br />
is the same with confidence.<br />
Watson: Yeah, it’s tiring because<br />
if you make mistakes<br />
you start to wonder and to<br />
doubt and to worry about<br />
how you can turn it around.<br />
Sometimes you are constantly<br />
living in a way where you<br />
don’t know what to expect. I<br />
know if I can give everything<br />
I have every single time then<br />
whatever happens, happens.<br />
And I won’t beat myself up<br />
about it. I know I have to go<br />
out, have confidence and<br />
believe in myself.<br />
Olsen: I think your talent can<br />
take you to a certain level…<br />
but it depends on how much<br />
talent you have. For example<br />
Jorge Prado rides the bike so<br />
easily that it makes you think<br />
‘does he even need to train?’<br />
he doesn’t seem to spend<br />
any energy riding compared<br />
to me when I’m muscling the<br />
bike a bit more. Of course he<br />
is training really hard. I think<br />
it comes down to how much<br />
energy you use to go fast…<br />
but it is very hard to get to<br />
this level without putting in<br />
the effort.
