elected its 2018-2020 Officers and Board
of Directors, all of whom are working
salon professionals who strive to ensure
the success of ABS for attendees,
exhibitors and guests alike.
This year's show will be held March 30
– April 1, 2019, at McCormick Place in
Chicago. More than 70,000
cosmetologists, nail technicians,
stylists, colorists, manufacturers and
distributors from all over the world

draws hundreds of entries from
worldwide from professional and
emerging stylists and cosmetology
students. “We expect to see tremendous
artistry from our extremely talented
competitors,” said Karen Gordon, newly
elected president of CC. “ABS in
downtown Chicago offers a perfect
backdrop to showcase a deeply creative
competition in our world-class city. We
are thrilled to shine a global spotlight on
the originality and talent that resides in
the professional beauty industry.”

attend ABS for superior education and
innovation in all aspects of beauty, as
well as to gain inspiration to take back
to their businesses. For example, the
International Esthetics, Cosmetics and
Spa Conference (IECSC) will co-locate
with ABS and feature CIDESCO USA
education tracks offering hours to apply
toward the 40-hour Review Session
required to sit for the prestigious
CIDESCO Post Graduate Beauty
Therapy Examination. Another
highlight is the ABS Global Image
Awards, an international photo
competition that fuels intense creativity
and passion for hairdressers, colorists,
salon teams, students and student
