Maurice Chatelain was borii and
educated in Paris, France. He built
radio equipment for the French Resistance
during World War II and
came to the United States in 1955 as
an aerospace electronics engineer. He
was one of the scientists who conceived
and designed the Apollo spacecraft
which landed on the moon. He
is now semi-retired, working as a
space consultant and as a writer.
He
lives in California with his wife and
three sons.
