This year, on the occasion of St. Nicholas' Day, the Faculty of Economics &<br />

Business organized a play for the children of their employees at the theater<br />

Trešnja. Along with the party with candies, the forthcoming Christmas holidays<br />

were introduced to the children by the play Nutcracker.<br />

The Nutcracker and the Mouse King is an artistic fairy tale written by the<br />

great German romantic writer Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann in 1816.<br />

It served as an inspiration for one of the most famous and to the children<br />

most popular ballet, which do not descend from the stages in the World<br />

during the Christmas season, and served as well for numerous literary and<br />

film adaptations.<br />

which there are no obstacles or boundaries.<br />

The play, in the version of Ms. Lada Kaštelan and directed by Ms. Paola<br />

Tišljarić, the play in a new and unusual way approach to the original Hoffmann<br />

plot, in which a very smart and curious girl Marie and her brother<br />

Fritz meet unexpected, fantastic characters and worlds with the help of a<br />

Holidays are the time of the gifts, and also the students of the Faculty of Economics & Business have<br />

shown their great heart in this pre-Christmas time. In order to enhance X-mas holidays to those in needs,<br />

the Student Associations of the Faculty of Economics & Business - Student Choir, HSA, Economic Clinic,<br />

Finance Club, eSTUDENT, Debate Club, Tourism Lab and Ekonomio in co-operation with the Red Cross<br />

from December 10 to 20, 2018 have conducted humanitarian action under the name STUDENT SANTA<br />

CLAUS.<br />

"The goal of this humanitarian action was to gather as many nutrition and hygiene supplies for the Red<br />

Cross Social Self-service Store. In this way we wanted to make our contribution and jointly make the holidays<br />

easier for those in need, and I was especially pleased to have all the students and staff of the Faculty<br />

of Economics involved in the action" said Marijan Buljan, President of the Student Choir.
