Among the numerous guests were the Vice-Rectors of the Zagreb University:
Prof. Tonći Lazibat, PhD, Prof. Mirjana Hruškar, PhD, and Prof. Miljenko
Šimpraga, PhD, then rectors and vice-rectors of other universities,
deans and vice-deans of faculties of the University of Zagreb and other faculties
in Croatia and the region, academicians, professors emeritus, and
other representatives of economic and social subjects of the City of Zagreb
and the Republic of Croatia.
On December 3, 2018, the Faculty of Economics & Business of the University
of Zagreb celebrated the Day of Faculty and the 98 th anniversary. In the
introductory address Dean Prof. Jurica Pavičić, PhD, reviewed the long tradition,
achievements in the field of scientific and research work and international
cooperation, organization and implementation of conferences
and projects involving professors and students of the Faculty of Economics
& Business and other achievements related to the activities of the Faculty.
The ceremony was attended by Assist. Prof. Marko Primorac, PhD, Envoy
of Ms. Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, President of the Republic of Croatia, Assist.
Prof. Tomislav Ćorić, PhD, Minister of Environment and Energy and
Envoy of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Ms. Katarina
On the occasion of the Faculty Day, the prizes were presented: "Mijo
Mirković Award" for scientific work in the field of socio-economic sciences,
awards "Fedor Rocco" for scientific and professional papers from the field
of marketing and "Dr. Pero Jurković " awards for works in the field of finance.
The most successful students of the Faculty of Economics were
awarded by the Dean's awards for success in the study, written works and
extracurricular activities.
The ceremony of the Faculty Day was aggrandized with a special program
performed by the singing choir Sonus oeconomicus of the Faculty of Economics
& Business.
