SSM Health - Neha Karajgikar, MD
Neha Karajgikar, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine
and endocrinology physician. She received her medical degree
from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed
her residency at Drexel University/Hahnemann Hospital in
Philadelphia, PA. After her residency, Dr. Karajgikar went on
to complete an endocrinology fellowship from the University of
Pittsburgh Medical Center.
As an endocrinologist, Dr. Karajgikar specializes in the
diagnosis, treatment and management of all endocrine
problems, including general and complex cases of Type 1 and
Type 2 diabetes, as well as diseases of thyroid, pituitary, adrenal
and bone.
She provides care to patients ages 18 and older, and she
believes is it crucial for patients to be an active participant in
decision-making based on the needed health care information
provided.
Dr. Karajgikar is a member of the American Association of
Clinical Endocrinology, American College of Physicians and
Endocrine Society. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi.
When she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Karajgikar enjoys
traveling and spending time with family and friends.
“My mission is to provide patient care based on individual needs
utilizing the most up-to-date and evidence-based practices,” Dr.
Karajgikar said. “I treat chronic conditions, so my approach to
patient care is to think of them as family and develop a good
physician-patient relationship that helps me provide the best
care to the patient.”
