BUSINESS BRIEFS Lifelong Windermere resident Anna Wytiaz is opening the first Bruster’s Real Ice Cream in Windermere. This new business, which will be located in Suite 100 at 5855 Winter Garden Vineland Road, is the franchise’s fifth in Central Florida. Community residents will soon have a chance to enjoy ice cream made the old-fashioned way, with slow kettle processing designed specifically to create the Bruster’s flavor. Its homestyle mix is delivered fresh from a dairy to each store, where small artisan batches are made daily by certified ice cream makers. The new location will open next month. This spring, the hospital will expand its robotic surgery program by adding a second robot, an Si model. “Robotic surgery is an explosive field of research, and there are some places worldwide that are doing coronary bypass procedures with the robot,” Dr. Elms said. “Orlando Health is on the forefront of robotic surgery and will continue to incorporate the most advanced procedures available in order to provide patients with optimal care.” Dr. Gibbons concluded it best by saying robotic surgery is giving a greater portion of patients access to minimally invasive care and allowing doctors to do surgeries better than in the past.
