Lodging Association held its annual<br />
Golden Pineapple Awards Dinner<br />
at the Orlando World Center Marriott<br />
on Jan. 30 to recognize frontline lodging<br />
employees for exemplary service<br />
and customer satisfaction. The redcarpet<br />
event, attended by more than<br />
1,200 Central Florida lodging staff<br />
members, featured welcoming remarks<br />
by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, followed<br />
by dinner and the awards presentations.<br />
Fox 35’s Tom Johnson<br />
served as the emcee of the evening,<br />
and awards were presented by CFHLA<br />
President and CEO Rich Maladecki.<br />
The festive, annual activity allows lodging<br />
managers to nominate and honor<br />
their hardworking staff members for going<br />
above and beyond their job requirements.<br />
CFHLA received a record 316<br />
nominations from local lodging esablishments<br />
and awarded Golden Pineapple<br />
Awards to 13 selected winners.<br />
