How did it all start up? What were the
initial ideas & inspiration for
Drooble, and why did you think this
would be a good service for the
industry?
A decade ago I started playing the
guitar and noticed how music slowly
but surely made me more self-aware
and present, helped me connect with
others and ultimately gave me a tool
for self-expression. It was a process of
a loud but deep inner transformation.
Soon I realized that music can also
bring positive change in the lives of
others, so I created a music lessons
academy in my home town which
quickly expanded to other areas in the
music industry - recording studio,
rehearsal space, concert venue,
promotion services and others.
What is most important is that the
academy became a creative home for
a huge community of musicians and
music lovers. That’s where I saw an
opportunity to grow the same concept
globally. I gathered a small team and
started developing what would now
become Drooble. As every startup
story goes, we went through
validating several ideas until we
clearly identified what musicians
really need and how to deliver it. Now
we are pretty confident about our
direction and we are going full speed
ahead.
Drooble now has thousands of users,
was it a challenge to build this strong
network and rise up to be trusted?
Challenges can slow you down only if
you feel you are performing a regular
job. But I am lucky to be surrounded
by a team united by a very strong
mission which help us move through
everything quick and efficient.
We have a true human connection with
our community members and through
their feedback we are actually building
Drooble together. This creates a high
level of trust. People know that their
opinion and ideas will be heard and
appreciated, so they feel much more
involved.
It also helps a lot that we are musicians
ourselves and we are actively using the
platform, so this easily makes us part
of the community.
Positivity and helping each other is a
key part of Drooble’s structure - why
do you think this is important for the
music industry?
From a very early stage in our lives, we
have been taught to compete and win
at the expense of others. This concept
has been transferred to the way most
of the music platforms nowadays
operate, but this obviously doesn’t
work well in the context of the modern
music industry. Instead of fostering
unnecessary competition, Drooble
encourages musicians to unite,
collaborate, exchange services and
grow together. We believe we are
creating a culture of mutual support
that lacks between artists.
