<strong>2012</strong> <strong>Excellence</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Infrastructure</strong><br />

The w<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g projects were selected by a jury of <strong>in</strong>dustry experts <strong>in</strong> various<br />
fields. The first round of judg<strong>in</strong>g was performed through an onl<strong>in</strong>e vot<strong>in</strong>g<br />
system where each entry was scored on project complexity, <strong>in</strong>novative<br />
use of technology, susta<strong>in</strong>ability, and a clear articulation of the benefits<br />
of model-based work flows, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>tegrated analysis, visualization<br />
and simulation.<br />
A second round of judg<strong>in</strong>g was performed via web conference. The top<br />
scor<strong>in</strong>g projects from the first round were further evaluated and discussed<br />
by the judges based on the same criteria from the first round. From this<br />
f<strong>in</strong>al round, a grand prize w<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g project and two runners up were selected<br />
based upon a majority consensus of the judges.<br />
