Atkinsons the Jeweller is a family business which
was established by husband and wife team, Paul and
Keeley Atkinson, on the Birmingham Road in Sutton
Coldfield in 1990.
Following several years gaining experience working
for other family jewellers, Paul decided it was time
to become a true independent. The Royal Town of
Sutton Coldfield was to be their destination after
identifying that this was an area lacking the products
and expertise that they had to offer.
Paul says: “We have recently moved to our beautiful
new showroom within the Gracechurch Shopping
Centre - here we have employed several new
members of staff, adding a wealth of additional
experience to our established sales team.”
This month, Atkinsons the Jeweller is launching
prestigious Welsh gold jewellery brand Clogau in
store.
Clogau is a second generation family business
based in Wales. For 30 years, the growing range of
jewellery has captured the hearts and imaginations
of jewellery lovers from far and wide. Every piece
they create contains rare Welsh gold - the gold of
royalty for more than 100 years.
Clogau jewellery is seen as an heirloom with both
a personal and cultural meaning and a permanent
tie to Wales - something valuable to pass down the
generations.
Paul adds: “We have beautiful collections of fine
diamond, gold, silver and gem-set jewellery.
“We are also locally renowned for being specialists
in pre-loved jewellery, featuring a collection which is
unrivalled locally, and we will buy old gold and many
types of unwanted jewellery items.”
Atkinsons the Jeweller also offers an in-house bespoke
jewellery design service, where they can create - or
recreate - a piece of jewellery to meet your unique
specifications.
Paul says: “We ensure that from inspiration to
completion, you are involved in every step. A model
is created to allow you, to view the piece in detail
before it is cast in the specified precious metal. Once
cast, hallmarked, set and polished, the piece will be
transformed. Throughout each step, we like to keep
you informed and photographs of the process will be
documented, which are available upon request.
“We can remodel jewellery into a brand new
design just for you, reusing stones to enable you to
hold on to the original sentiment. We also offer a
full aftercare service to ensure that your jewellery
continues to look its best.”
On-site after sales services include watch battery
fitting, ring sizing, a jewellery cleaning service and
products and valuations.
