Goat Dairy Creamery
Goats have been part of UC Davis teaching, research and outreach for more than 100 years and
with the addition of this facility, we will now we will be home to the first full-service goat dairy
and creamery built on a major land-grant, teaching and research university in the United States.
When complete the Dairy and Creamery will be a hub for education, production and research in
the manufacture and marketing of humane certified, locally sourced, sustainably produced goat
cheese; it will also help students model common animal husbandry issues facing goat dairies.
The facility includes a milking parlor, milk room, clean in place room and an aged-cheese room.
Groundbreaking event with the goats.
