Center (ARC) Expansion<br />
Since the ARC opened in 2004, our student population has increased by 6,000. To meet these<br />
growing needs, the ARC is expanding by 16,300 SF into the existing central courtyard area. The<br />
expansion provides more space for strength and cardio equipment, adds an outdoor exercise<br />
area, enlarges the cycling studio, upgrades the locker rooms, includes the addition of day<br />
lockers throughout the facility, enhances the Wi-Fi and improves the building’s energy efficiency.<br />
This addition will result in shorter wait times, allowing ARC members to complete their workouts<br />
and return to class, studying or work.<br />
This project is funded from a student initiative passed in 1999 to build the ARC which was<br />
designed to allow for the building to be operated, maintained and renovated as it aged and will<br />
not result in any student fee increases.<br />
