summer entertainment series
on August 14 and 21 on The
Promenade at Northshore Mall.
The free program, according
to a company press release, is

on Wednesday at 8:21 a.m. at 30
Andover St. and 1 Hilltop Drive.
Officer reports no injuries, one
vehicle towed by Mallia’s Towing.
Two-car crash reported
on Wednesday at 1:13 p.m.

Newbury St. Officer reports no
injuries or tows.
Hit and run crash reported on
Monday at 4:36 p.m. at Shaw’s

St. Mall security with a vehicle
operator who reported the crash

mall’s entrance. Suspect vehicle
is a silver BMW. Operator made
arrangement for tow. Officer
checked the area for the suspect.

on Tuesday at 9:18 a.m. at
136 Lowell and 2 King streets.
Officer reports EMS examining
one of the operators, vehicle will
be towed by Mallia’s Tow.
Report of a motor vehicle
crash on Tuesday at 10:28 a.m.
near 128 Bridge and Andover
streets. Officer assisted with paperwork
exchange.
Motor vehicle struck a parked
car on Tuesday at 12:45 p.m.
at 7 Center and 31 Paleologos
streets. Officer will document.
Animal Control
A dog in distress in a car was
reported at 2:20 p.m. Friday at
Metro PCS at 75 Main St. Police
reported the car wasn’t found.
Report of a loose dog on
Winthrop Street on Wednesday at
1:56 p.m. Animal control officer
reports dog reunited with owner,
Daniela Zomosa, from 3 Harris
St., who was given a warning.
Caller from Trask Road complained
of excessive barking
from neighbor’s dog during early
morning hours on Tuesday at
9:30 a.m. Animal control officer
sent a warning, copy of barking
law, license warning, and license
application to Timothy Rigol, 14
Trask Road. There is no record
of the dog and rabies vaccination
status is unknown.
Complaints
A report of a disturbance
at 6:49 p.m. Thursday at 180
Bartholomew St. A caller reported
there was loud noise
from power equipment. Police
reported the people were
working on a boat and doing
masonry work and that the time
of day seemed reasonable.
A disturbance was reported at
9:07 p.m. Thursday at Maddy’s
Car Wash at 300 Andover St. A
caller reported cars in the lot
were causing a disturbance.
Police advised the youths to stop.
A caller reported a dog was
barking for the past hour at 2:16
a.m. Friday at Neves and Son
Landscaping at 201 Lowell St.
Police reported it appeared two
dogs were barking and howling
in the yard, but they weren’t getting
an answer at the two doors.
The information was forwarded
to the animal control officer for
further follow-up.
Suspicious activity was reported
at 11:50 a.m. Friday at 21
Ravenwood Road. A caller reported
seeing an unkempt man
who was not known in the area.
A Manor Drive caller reported
excessive barking from a dog
on Elizabeth Lane at 12:20 p.m.
Friday. Police reported a notice
of complaint and a copy of the
barking ordinance was sent to the
homeowner at 26 Elizabeth Lane.
A report of an intoxicated
person at 12:21 p.m. Friday at
100 Main St. A passing motorist
reported a possible overdose in
the street, but police reported
the person was intoxicated and
had not overdosed. He was
taken to Salem Hospital.
Man from 111 Foster St., Apt.
304 reports possible assault on
Wednesday at 6:53 p.m. Party
said a Hispanic man has been
hanging around outside drinking
and harassing the residents. He is
described as about 35 years old,
with a thin build and may live in
the building. Caller said he will notify
police when he is seen again.
Officer observed a man approach
several customers entering
Central Street Liquors at 17 Central
St. on Wednesday at 7:10 p.m.
Officer spoke to the store clerk who
said the man demanded $5. The
man, Mr. Smith, has been banned
from other establishments in the
city due to his behavior. The clerk
said Smith has been harassing
customers for money. Officer advised
the clerk to contact police if
Smith is an issue. Officer spoke to
Smith and dropped him off at the
group home at 63 Andover St. and
told staff of the incident.
Caller reported a 40- to
50-year-old Hispanic man
wearing a blue shirt and baseball
cap asking patrons for money in
the ice cream line at Down River
Ice Cream on Andover Street on
Wednesday at 9:58 p.m. Officer
spoke with the man and advised
him he was not welcome. Officer
also spoke with the caller and they
will work on a keep-out order.
Report of teens acting out and
recording people in the Bill & Bob’s
Roast Beef parking lot at 2 Central
St. on Wednesday at 11:22 p.m.
Dispute reported between
tenants at 29 Paleologos St. on
Thursday at 4:20 a.m. Officer
reports parties separated and
agreed to stay in their respective
apartments, first floor tenants
moving out today.
Officer flagged down at 72
Central St. on Wednesday at
9:27 a.m. about two young children
who may have been left at
home alone. Officer confirmed
a 3- and 5-year-old left alone.
Sergeant reports there was an
adult cousin sleeping. The kids
did leave the apartment and officer
will file a 51a, a reporting of
suspected abuse or neglect.
Report of a suspicious 5-foot-
9-inch white man wearing a
button down shirt and driving a
Maserati who waved to the reporting
party on Johnson Street
on Monday at 8:15 p.m. Woman
ignored him and went into her
house and the suspect knocked
on her door. Police report man
was gone upon arrival of police.
Officer will check the area.
Stop & Shop at 19 Howley St.
reported two men walked out with
two carriages of groceries without
paying on Monday at 10:11 p.m.
Officer reports the men left the
merchandise outside and store
will call back if they return.
