My principles of producing work<br />

are to create something honest <strong>and</strong><br />

personal, but also that defies stereotypes<br />

inflicted upon female Egyptian<br />

photographers, to not be defined as<br />

“<strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r” or "exotic", <strong>and</strong> instead to<br />

build bridges <strong>and</strong> to show that, in <strong>the</strong><br />

end, we are all somehow <strong>the</strong> same.<br />

Don’t hesitate about taking a photo just because<br />

it may be uncomfortable. Trust your intuition that<br />

some things are important to just do, even if you<br />

don’t yet know why. Always bring a camera <strong>and</strong><br />

enough space on your SD card.<br />

How can<br />

artists reframe<br />

ecological<br />

problems as<br />

an adventure?<br />

Always be au<strong>the</strong>ntic <strong>and</strong> honest. Be<br />

self-aware in <strong>the</strong> process: know why<br />

you’re doing a project. Never let fear<br />

stop you. Trust your instincts.<br />
