SUICIDE RIDDLE
A National Police officer is said to
have killed himself by using his own
gun, whilst he was working in the jail
cells at Elche’s courthouse.
The 42-year-old man died on Tuesday
at around 10.15am, and had already
brought some of those in custody that
morning for a court appearance. The man
had no apparent history of depression.

tainted with minoxidil,
an alopecia remedy.
The Agency for Medicines
and Health Products
ordered that several
batches of omeprazole
from Farma-Química
Sur SL, a Malaga-based
pharmaceuticals company,
be taken out of circulation
on July 11th.
Triple trouble for
smashed driver
A man involved in a spectacular
crash in Denia
town centre on Sunday
evening was found to be
three times over the legal
alcohol limit, the authorities
have confirmed.
He was going at high speed
at the entry to Plaza de Jaume
1 near the Casa de la Cultura
when the vehicle flipped and
hit four other parked cars,

badly damaging them all.
Despite it being 9pm with
plenty of people still around,
fortunately the cars were the
only victims in the smash.
The driver was shown to
have a blood alcohol level
of 82 mg/litre against a legal
limit of 25 mg/litre - 3.3
times the limit.
FOLLOWING on from the success of
the recent performance by Brighton
band “Itchy Fingers” the Teulada
Moraira Lions have a final outdoor
concert for the summer at Moraira
Castle coming up.
This is on Sunday (1 September) from
9pm and features young talent Austin

Slack, a musician from Caravace de la
Cruz in the Murcia region.
The concert is free but of course all
donations are gratefully accepted and
will go direct to the Lions charity where
it will soon be helping local people in
