EVERYBODY loves free! So, what<br />
can you get for free at the Family<br />
Medical Centre in Albir?<br />
• Dental Check-up<br />
Even if you are not experiencing any<br />
problems with your teeth it is advisable<br />
to get a dental check-up every six<br />
months. Hopefully all will be well, or, if<br />
there is a problem it will be a small one!<br />
• Urine Dip Test<br />
Just by examining a specimen of<br />
urine we can tell many things about<br />
your health including an indication that<br />
you may be at risk from diabetes. Remember<br />
the undiagnosed million!<br />
• Blood Pressure Test<br />
High blood pressure increases the<br />
risk of many health issues including<br />
heart attacks and stroke. 1 in 3 adults<br />
will have high blood pressure and half<br />
of these will be undiagnosed! Make sure<br />
you are not one of those walking around<br />
totally unaware that you are at risk!<br />
•BMI Calculation<br />
Our practice nurse will work out your<br />
BMI and should it be higher than is ideal,<br />
she will advise you accordingly.<br />
• Hearing Assessment<br />
Are you constantly asking people to<br />
repeat themselves (driving your spouse<br />
and friends mad)? Are you constantly<br />
turning up the volume on the T.V.? Maybe<br />
you should take advantage of a free<br />
hearing assessment?<br />
• Pre-Conceptual Care Consultation<br />
If you are planning to have a baby<br />
why not take advantage of a free chat<br />
with our Midwife? She will give you lots<br />
of advice on how to get yourself (and<br />
your partner) in tip-top condition!<br />
• Genital External Skin Check by<br />
