We are looking forward to
welcoming Rosie Eliot as our
speaker on 7th November.
Rosie has recently retired from
the BBC Scottish Symphony
Orchestra where she was
principal flute player. She will
be speaking about her life as a
musician which has taken her
to many parts of the world, and
she will share some musical
highlights. We will meet at
7.15pm at Old Ranfurly Golf Club,
and members and visitors will
all be welcome for what should
be an entertaining evening.

Christmas Concert

at 7pm. This year the choir
will be joined by Angel Voices
children’s community choir and
Johnstone Band. We do hope

The Royal British Legion Scotland Bridge of
Weir and District Branch.
Poppy Appeal
The Royal British Legion Scotland’s Bridge
of Weir and District Branch members have
placed collection tins in various premises
throughout the Village for the Annual
Poppy Scotland Appeal. Memorial Crosses are
available from Beaton Bros., 1 Station Road, Bridge
of Weir.
Poppy Scotland provides and funds a variety of services
believing that those who serve in the Armed Forces, and
their families, deserve special recognition and support.
They aim to help as many people in the Armed Forces
community as possible, supporting people of all ages,
whether difficulties have arisen during time in the Armed
Forces or many years later. They also help the families of
ex-Servicemen and women, including partners, widows,
widowers and children.
Please give generously to the Appeal. Our ex-Service
community deserve all our support for everything they
have given up for us
Remembrance Sunday
The Annual Remembrance day Parade in Bridge of Weir is on
Sunday the 10th of November.
The Parade will assembly on the Village Car Park at 2.30pm.
The Pipes and Drums of Kilbarchan Pipe Band will lead the March
to the War Memorial. The Parade will include Standard Bearers,
Veterans, Local Dignitaries, Clergy, Members of the Royal British
Legion Scotland and Youth Groups.
Everyone is welcome at the War Memorial at 3pm to attend the
service of dedication to remember our fallen lead by Local Clergy.
Together we remember them.
LANGBANK PARISH CHURCH: Sunday Services 10am with Sunday School, Crèche and young people’s group, the Welcomers.
Tea/coffee after the service. Come along and meet in the Hall from 9.50am.
