speaker on 7th November.<br />

Rosie has recently retired from<br />

the BBC Scottish Symphony<br />

Orchestra where she was<br />

principal flute player. She will<br />

be speaking about her life as a<br />

musician which has taken her<br />

to many parts of the world, and<br />

she will share some musical<br />

highlights. We will meet at<br />

7.15pm at Old Ranfurly Golf Club,<br />

and members and visitors will<br />

all be welcome for what should<br />

be an entertaining evening.<br />

will be joined by Angel Voices<br />

children’s community choir and<br />

Johnstone Band. We do hope<br />

The Royal British Legion Scotland Bridge of<br />

Weir and District Branch.<br />

Poppy Appeal<br />

The Royal British Legion Scotland’s Bridge<br />

of Weir and District Branch members have<br />

placed collection tins in various premises<br />

throughout the Village for the Annual<br />

Poppy Scotland Appeal. Memorial Crosses are<br />

available from Beaton Bros., 1 Station Road, Bridge<br />

of Weir.<br />

Poppy Scotland provides and funds a variety of services<br />

believing that those who serve in the Armed Forces, and<br />

their families, deserve special recognition and support.<br />

They aim to help as many people in the Armed Forces<br />

community as possible, supporting people of all ages,<br />

whether difficulties have arisen during time in the Armed<br />

Forces or many years later. They also help the families of<br />

ex-Servicemen and women, including partners, widows,<br />

widowers and children.<br />

Please give generously to the Appeal. Our ex-Service<br />

community deserve all our support for everything they<br />

have given up for us<br />

Remembrance Sunday<br />

The Annual Remembrance day Parade in Bridge of Weir is on<br />

Sunday the 10th of November.<br />

The Parade will assembly on the Village Car Park at 2.30pm.<br />

The Pipes and Drums of Kilbarchan Pipe Band will lead the March<br />

to the War Memorial. The Parade will include Standard Bearers,<br />

Veterans, Local Dignitaries, Clergy, Members of the Royal British<br />

Legion Scotland and Youth Groups.<br />

Everyone is welcome at the War Memorial at 3pm to attend the<br />

service of dedication to remember our fallen lead by Local Clergy.<br />

Together we remember them.<br />

LANGBANK PARISH CHURCH: Sunday Services 10am with Sunday School, Crèche and young people’s group, the Welcomers.<br />

Tea/coffee after the service. Come along and meet in the Hall from 9.50am.<br />
