Two Fun Events?
Folk from Houston & Killellan Kirk and others will
be involved in two events in the first few days of
December, one of which could be fun, but the
other perhaps not too much fun! The Houston
Village Lights Switch-on on Sunday 1st December
should be a lot of fun and the Kirk will have a
presence at this – giving those attending the
opportunity to learn what is happening at the
Kirk during the Festive Season, and perhaps a
chance for the kids to sample the free juice and
sweets.
The other event on Saturday 7th December, in
conjunction with Global Homeless Day, maybe
not so much fun. The Minister, Rev’d Gary Noonan
along with Deputy Head of Gryffe High School,
Mrs Brown, are organising a “Wee Sleep” outside
the High School. They will be joined by S6 pupils
and Kirk & community youth groups Perhaps
it will be fun – who knows? The opportunity to
sponsor the participants will be announced on
Facebook & the web in due course.
