force. The sounds that were protruding from the
Mara were unbelievable. It was like the other animals
knew what was happening, a warning sign for the
zebra perhaps. The lionesses were now in stealth
mode, moving slowly through the grass, until BANG!
They all set off at high speeds and surrounded the
zebra, until they pounced on their chosen one. It was
amazing to watch, nature in full force.
I stayed in three different areas of the Masai Mara,
spending a night in each camp as to give a taster
of what the different areas can offer. It is extremely
important that you get the best advice when planning
your visit as there are two very different sides a
Kenyan safari. The main Mara National Park can
get extremely busy, so to avoid being one of many
vehicles it is vitally important that you choose the
area and camp correctly.
My best advice would be to stay in one of the
conservancies that border the main reserve as they
will offer a much more intimate and exclusive
experience. There are many different styles and
