H.E. Eng. Hessa Al Malek awarded for empowering women
in maritime
H.E. Eng. Hessa Al Malek, Executive Director of Maritime
Transport at the Federal Transport Authority of Land and
Maritime, as well as President of the Arab Women in Maritime
Association (AWIMA) was honored with the ‘Integration
of Women in the Maritime Sector’ award at the most
recent (16th) edition of the Seatrade Maritime Awards
Middle East, Indian Subcontinent & Africa. The ceremony,
which took place in late September at Dubai’s Madinat
Jumeirah, featured Al Malek among the night’s headline
winners, recognizing her extensive efforts in empowering
women in the maritime sector. Al Malek previously secured
the ‘Personality of the Year’ award at the 2017 edition of
the event, along with a number of other maritime accolades
throughout the course of her illustrious career.
حصة آل مالك تفوز بجائزة عن دورها في تمكين المرأة في القطاع البحري
يف إطار جهودها لتمكين المرأة يف الوسط البحري، تم تكريم سعادة
المهندسة حصة آل مالك، المدير التنفيذي لقطاع النقل البحري
بالهيئة االتحادية للمواصالت البرية والبحرية، ورئيسة رابطة المرأة
العربية يف القطاع البحري، جائزة "األداء المتكامل للمرأة بالقطاع
البحري" يف دورتها )16( التي عقدت مؤخراً، والتي تعتبر من أهم
جوائز سيتريد البحرية للشرق األوسط وشبه القارة الهندية وأفريقيا.
وتم تكريم آل مالك يف الحفل الذي أقيم يف أواخر شهر سبتمبر
يف مدينة جميرا بديب، وذلك تقديراً لجهودها المكثفة يف تمكين المرأة
يف القطاع البحري.
يذكر أن آل مالك حصلت سابقاً على جائزة "شخصية العام" يف
نسخة العام 2017 من الحدث ذاته، إىل جانب العديد من الجوائز
البحرية األخرى عبر مسيرتها المهنية الالمعة.
