At Birkhill House is a

newly established animal

assisted activity/therapy

venture at Birkenside, near

Earlston, which also offers

an array of modern and

traditional crafting

opportunities. The focus at

Birkhill House is on

wellness and mindfulness –

taking a moment out to be

compassionate and nurture

the creative side in all of us.

On the horizon: hat making, willow weaving, fleece

dyeing & spinning, needle felting, marbling, stained

glass and more!

Support/recovery groups & individuals looking to

do their talking therapy amongst the animals at

Birkhill House or counsellors & group leaders

seeking to incorporate animal assisted

activities/therapy into their existing practice

should contact Lara Armitage on 07779 339 653.

Lara also offers a 'Reading with Ragdoll Cats'

programme for dyslexic and reluctant readers. See

the website for further details.
