exactly the same way. Every one of them
wants for himself all the joy and happiness that
can be crowded into tlie twenty-four hours of
the day ; every one desires for himself love,
ease, pleasantness, sunshine, long life, and
health. Now of all these things there is not
enough to go round, by a great deal, and
})oople have hardly as yet begun to manufacture
more.
