Flexible raised floor systems are now an integral
part of modern data centre architecture. Access
to the installations room must be possible at all
times without disrupting operations.
Elevated floor systems must comply with
certain essential criteria:
1. Walkability
2. Accessibility
3. Air flow capacity
4. Cable routing
As the grid dimensions of IT server racks
normally deviate from standard elevated floor
dimensions (600 x 600 mm), floor panels are
often permanently blocked by the racks erected
on them. Accessibility for cabling is no longer

sufficiently guaranteed, the cooling air from the
elevated floor can no longer be guided precisely
to the places where it is needed.
No modifications are possible during operation,
the available free clearance has not been used
to optimum effect.

elevated floor system from SCHÄFER IT-Systems
now offers a range of different floor elements
specially adapted to use in data centres.
An innovative frame accommodates 9 tiles
(each 200 x 200 mm) which can be adapted to
very different functional requirements: standard
and heavy duty loads, ventilation and cable
routing. Breaking up the rigid 600 x 600 mm
pattern makes precisely routed air circulation
and cable routing possible.
SWAP PANEL 9 elevated floor elements are compatible
with standard 600 x 600 mm elevated
floor panels. So existing floors can be fitted with
the new system quickly and flexibly.
