OHSAS 18001 is applicable to any organization from all types of business sectors and activities. Certification against OHSAS 18001 is aimed at the way a company has control over, and knowledge of, all relevant risks resulting from normal operations and abnormal situations. OHSAS 18001 is focused on the management of Occupational Health and Safety and as such addresses the organizations continual improvement that can be used to provide stakeholders and others with assurances of conformance with its stated Occupational Health &Safety policy [23; 24; 25; 26; 27; 28].
