68HTETRENDSFamous fashiondesigner BaharKorçan on thefuture of hometextilesUludag Textile Exporters’ Association (UTIB) continues to hold seminars to imparta new vision of life in business and inform its members about the developments inthe sector in collaboration with Association of Turkish Home Textile Industrialistsand Businessmen (TETSIAD).Within the scope of the online programs, the “NewBalance Language Home Textile” seminar, attendedby the famous Fashion Designer Bahar Korçanas a speaker, was held with the intense participation ofUTİB and TETSİAD members. In the seminar, Bahar Korçanexplained the adaptation process to the new order in theworld and what needs to be done after the pandemic processand said that they achieved successful predictions withthe New Balance Language study. Bahar Korçan, explainingthat the changing lifestyles, business life, and predictabledevelopments with the pandemic process, said, “When wefollow the designers and trends in the world, it was usual topredict the changes that will occur. We consumed the naturalresources in our world very quickly. It was obvious thatwe would get stuck somewhere and experience a breakingpoint. The most important thing we will do now will be toadjust ourselves to this situation. This situation is valid forboth our business life and our daily life”.Adapting to the New World is Necessary Now!Stating that in the new process, spaces have been purifiedfrom human life and people have started to socialize in virtualenvironments and to run their business, Bahar Korçansaid, “The new time period gives us new dreams. We reconstructlife. We are aware that many things we know no longerfit into this new time frame. Apart frommillions of meters products that were sold, having filteredcollections developed by better selected designers, moresigned collections will lead us to branding. Now we cometo the turns that will force the sector representatives more.The way to get out of these turns is to produce collectionsthat have a story and where it is clear. While talking aboutthe decrease in natural resources in the world, the collectionsproduced need to be reviewed. We have now passedthe breaking point.
