Proposed Selwyn
District Plan
Because
it matters.
We want to hear what you think
of the Proposed District Plan.
You may not think the Proposed District Plan is relevant to you – but it is. Because it matters.
Why? Because the District Plan is a 10-year rule book which controls almost everything you do on land across the district, and how you do it.
For example, it regulates where you can develop land in Selwyn. Or how you can protect our native flora and fauna. And how you can look after our cultural
and historic heritage for future generations to enjoy.
You need to check the District Plan if you want to subdivide your land.
Or run a business from home.
If you want to build a new house, you need to see where on
the section it can be located and how high it can be.
So how does the Proposed Plan affect you?
Visit selwyn.govt.nz/districtplanreview and find out more.
Have your say by 5pm on Friday 11 December.
Because it matters.
