<strong>Course</strong>s AUTOMOTIVE. Motor Vehicle Body Repair & Paint Refinishing Level 1 Accredited by the Institute of Motor Industry Duration 1 year Entry requirements 1 GCSE What will I learn? This course will give you the essential skills, knowledge and experience you need to work as a body repairer in garages, dealerships and specialist body repair shops. It’s a practical, hands-on course and you’ll be training in our state-of-the-art workshops on a variety of vehicles and industry standard resources. You’ll also follow a formal paint refinishing qualification so that by the end of your programme, you’ll have the skills and experience of both of these specialist areas. Motor Vehicle Body Repair & Paint Refinishing Level 2 Accredited by the Institute of Motor Inustry Duration 1 year Entry requirements Level 1 Body Repair and Paint Refinishing or a good level of practical experience and an initial assessment in English and maths to ensure you are enrolled on the right level programme. What will I learn? This is a unique opportunity to gain skills in two specialist areas - body repair and paint refinishing. During this one-year course you'll get practical skills and knowledge working on a wide range of vehicles in our workshops. You'll also complete a work placement with a local employer to gain an insight and understanding of working in a body repair shop. This qualification forms part of an advanced level apprenticeship, giving you a head start over other candidates if you wish to progress to an apprenticeship. Alternatively you can progress to our Level 3 course. Motor Vehicle Body Repair & Paint Refinishing Level 3 Accredited by the Institute of Motor Inustry Duration 1 year Entry requirements Level 2 automotive qualification and an initial assessment in English and maths to ensure you are enrolled on the right level programme. What will I learn? Get the skills and knowledge to work as a body repairer or paint refinisher working on a wide range of vehicles in all types of garages, dealerships and specialist body repair shops. You’ll train in our state-of-the-art workshops and and gain work experience with local employers. This qualification also forms part of an Accident Repair Advanced Apprenticeship, so if you apply to an apprenticeship you’ll be one step ahead of other candidates.
