1 year for each level
Entry requirements
Level 1: Two GCSEs at a minimum of grades 1-2.
Level 2: Four GCSEs grade 3-2 including English
and maths, or a Level 1 Certificate in Business
Administration.
What will I learn?
These courses will prepare you for the world of
work in an office environment. If you’re aiming to
become a secretary, personal assistant, administrator
or receptionist these courses are for you.
Level 1: You’ll learn the role and importance of an
administrator in a business environment, build
your confidence in using a wide range of office
equipment, use software to create professional
business documents and improve your IT
and communication skills. You’ll also have the
opportunity to take part in employer led projects
and develop some entrepreneurial skills.
Level 2: You’ll develop the knowledge, skills and
understanding of business administration to
progress into an apprenticeship or employment.
Through a combination of classroom and
practical lessons you'll learn about written business
communication, using social media within a
business environment, using electronic
diary systems and organising meetings
while developing your IT skills.
You'll also develop your customer service
and business skills in our own shop,
handPICKED at the Metrocentre.
