Walking Trails<br />

Nature walks, heritage walks, coastal walks <strong>and</strong> more, SA has<br />

literally hundreds of choices to let you get up close to our<br />

l<strong>and</strong>scape <strong>and</strong> history. Here are some of our favourites:<br />

HEYSEN TRAIL<br />

This 1200km trails starts at Cape Jervis on Fleurieu Peninsula<br />

<strong>and</strong> winds its way through many regions of the state with its<br />

end point in Parachilna Gorge in the Flinders Ranges.<br />

WATERFALL GULLY TO MOUNT LOFTY ADELAIDE<br />

Just 2kms the walk ascends from the Adelaide Plains to the<br />

Mt Lofty Ranges. Due to the fact that it climbs 475m from<br />

bottom to top it is loved by fitness fanatics.<br />

WALK THE YORKE, YORKE PENINSULA<br />

This 500km trail traces the entire coastline of the Yorke<br />

Peninsula revealing cliffs, beaches <strong>and</strong> scenery. The tails<br />

skirts mangroves, grain paddocks, seaside towns <strong>and</strong><br />

beautiful untouched beaches. Pick up the walk at any spot<br />

around the Peninsula.<br />

ESCAPE TO BEAUTIFUL<br />

With a large range of camping sites from national parks<br />

to council sites <strong>and</strong> privately owned caravan parks -<br />

you’ll be sure to find the perfect place to pull up <strong>and</strong><br />

start a holiday you’ll never forget.<br />

SeaLink passenger <strong>and</strong> vehicle ferries operate up to<br />

12 times a day during peak periods <strong>and</strong> the crossing<br />

time from Cape Jervis to Penneshaw is only 45 minutes.<br />

Cycling Trails<br />

South Australia has a fantastic network of cycling trails<br />

suitable for all levels of rider. Here are some of our favourites:<br />

RIVER TORRENS LINEAR PARK<br />

This easy ride runs through the city between the Mt Lofty<br />

Ranges <strong>and</strong> the coastal suburb of Henley Beach. You can start<br />

from anywhere along the trail <strong>and</strong> the picturesque riverbank<br />

reveals its different l<strong>and</strong>scapes along the way.<br />

ENCOUNTER BIKEWAY FLEURIEU PENINSULA<br />

This trail follows the coastline to link the towns of Victor<br />

Harbor, Port Elliot, Middleton <strong>and</strong> Goolwa. Pick up the ride<br />

from any of the 4 towns along the way. A flat ride it is suitable<br />

for all ages <strong>and</strong> fitness levels.<br />

RIESLING TRAIL IN CLARE VALLEY<br />

27 km trail running along an old railway line. Part of the 800<br />

km Mawson Trail, the trail takes in farml<strong>and</strong>, vineyards <strong>and</strong><br />

wooded areas with options for cellar door stops along the way.<br />

COAST TO VINES RAIL TRAIL<br />

This trail starts at the seaside suburb of Marino in Adelaide<br />

<strong>and</strong> follows the former rail corridor to the Willunga township.<br />
