Enero 2021• Edición 17www.eltiemponola.comNoticias Internacionales/International News19SHELL SE SUMA COMO SOCIO A YPF Y EQUINOR PARA EXPLORACIÓN EN EL MAR ARGENTINO/SHELL JOINS YPF AND EQUINOR AS PARTNER FOR EXPLORATION IN THE ARGENTINEAN SEABuenos Aires, 14 ene (EFE).- Lapetrolera anglo-holandesa Shell sesuma como socia de la argentinaYPF y la noruega Equinor para laexploración offshore del área CAN-100, ubicada en la cuenca norte delespacio marítimo argentino, comunicaroneste jueves fuentes empresariales."Equinor e YPF suscribieron hoy unacuerdo con Shell para la cesiónconjunta de participaciones no operadasdel 30% en el bloque CAN100, ubicado en la Cuenca del NorteArgentino, en el offshore de Argentina",según comunicó Equinor.El CEO de YPF, Sergio Affronti; lapresidenta de Equinor Argentina,Nidia Álvarez, y el presidente deShell Argentina, Sean Rooney, firmaronhoy el acuerdo preliminarpara el ingreso de Shell como socioen el bloque CAN-100, según comunicóYPF, la empresa controlada porel Estado argentino.Con base al acuerdo, Equinor, quepermanecerá como operador delárea, e YPF, se dividirán en partesiguales el 70% del bloque y Shell ingresarácon el 30% restante.La operación aún se encuentra sujetaa la aprobación de la autoridadregulatoria.En octubre de 2019, Equinor firmóun convenio para la exploraciónoffshore con YPF del bloque CAN-100 y acordó hacerse cargo de laoperación, donde ambas empresasposeían el 50% del capital social enla licencia. Después de esta transacción,Equinor e YPF poseerán el 35%cada uno."Para YPF la firma de este acuerdoes un nuevo paso en el fortalecimientoy expansión de la relacióncon estas dos grandes compañíasenergéticas.
