‘IT MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME’ New restaurant opens in downtown Augusta By JOZSEF PAPP Antoine Williamson has been wanting to open his own restaurant for years. Although COVID-19 delayed his opening plans for almost a year, he was finally able to realize his dream. “It means everything to me. I saved up for years,” he said. Williamson recently opened Broad Street Bullies Grill at 855 Broad St., next to Augusta Common. He said he used to work extra shifts at Bridgestone, before getting laid off, just to get more money and save for his restaurant. He originally planned to open in February, but the pandemic hit and he had to deal with many delays and problems. 28 | 1736magazine.com
