The Swedish Archipelago, is an amazing location.
As my mother is Swedish, I have been very
fortunate in spending many summers sailing and
vacationing there. The water is flat and the scenery
is beautiful. As the Swedes never throw litter
overboard, it is pristine everywhere you go. For
overnight stops you can moor up anywhere you
want (regardless of who owns the many islands),
so long as you respect a certain distance to houses.
My two brothers and I along with our cousins
were in our teens the first time we went. We were
allowed to sail one of the three identical boats we
rented. Drinking and gambling made it difficult
for me (as the keen sailer in charge) to get my
crew to do anything useful. Memorable evenings
were spent moored in the most stunning locations.
I will never forget the tranquility occasionally
disturbed by the laughter of Viking relatives.

MARSILI SEAMOUNT VOLCANO
Marsili is a large, active submarine volcano
in the southeastern central Tyrrhenian
Sea, located about 175 kilometres south
of Naples. Its peak and crater reach within
450 m beneath the water surface. It has
the potential (and is likely) to erupt again.
