PhD95) has published a
book, Balancing Act: Teach
Coach Mentor Inspire. In it,
he shares candid insights and
timely lessons about the balance
needed to succeed as
a leader. Temte is president
and global head of corporate
learning at Kaplan University.
Kristy Walker (MBA92),
president of Walker Homestead
Farm & Winery in Iowa
City, Iowa, has been named
to the Iowa Restaurant Association’s
2020 “40 Women to
Watch in Hospitality” list.

Eric Clifton (BBA89) flying over Afghanistan
during a deployment with the U.S. Air Force
in 2011. He reports he always felt a little
closer to home while enjoying his coffee from
his Hawkeye mug! Clifton is now a pilot
with American Airlines.
Joe Ceryanec (BBA85)
retired as CFO of Meredith
Corp. in Des Moines, Iowa. He
currently serves on the Tippie
Advisory Board.
Perry Glassgow (BBA86)
retired from his position as
vice president and controller
at Harley-Davidson Inc. He
recently joined the board of
the UI Center for Advancement.
Chris Klein (BBA85) retired
as CEO and executive chairman
of Fortune Brands Home
& Security. Klein is a board
member for THOR Corporation,
the largest manufacturer
of recreational vehicles in the
world as well as serving on the
Tippie Advisory Board.
Joe LeValley (MBA89) has
published three mystery/
thriller novels since retiring in
2018 from a career in health
care administration. The first
novel, Burying the Lede, has
won two awards. Cry from
an Unknown Grave was published
in the fall of 2020, and
The Third Side of Murder was
published in March 2021. The
novels’ protagonist is a young
newspaper reporter, Tony
Harrington, who works for a
small daily newspaper in rural
Iowa. LeValley lives in Dallas
County, Iowa.
Jeffrey Lorenger (BBA87/
MBA01) is chairman, president,
and CEO of HNI Corporation.
Lorenger is a member of the
Tippie Advisory Board.
Frederick Paulsen (BBA89)
is a principal at CliftonLarson-
Allen in West Des Moines, Iowa.
Jennifer M. Pedigo (BBA86/
MBA98) was named senior
vice president and head of
strategy and business development
with Securian Asset
Management.

Mike Wokosin (BBA88)

officer at Redbox. He is currently
an adjunct lecturer in the
college and a member of the
Tippie Advisory Board.
