Our May speaker was Kara Maldonado of Real Bodies Period. She inspired us all! We had a<br />
record attendance! There were 23 of us! Our wonderful founder Robbie Motter came with<br />
two members from other chapters-Joan Wakeland and Stone Love. Other members present<br />
were: Catherine Barr and her guest-Holly Willner, Linda Blair, Suzann Calbert, NanciAnn<br />
Horvath, Kara Maldonado brought her daughter Reyna and son Ronnie, plus two other guests-<br />
-Michelle Reiner and Suzanne Tourangeau. Also present were: Rosalie Duong, Aggie Kobrin,<br />
Pattie Lambert, Jodie Moncrief and her guest Tina Anderson, Karen Pollick, Lauren Powers,<br />
Iris Rosenfeld and her guest-Gail Waterman, and our newest member Mikki St. Germain. Kara<br />
Maldonado gave out some great prizes and Catherine Barr won the raffle! It was a great<br />
evening!<br />
New member highlight:<br />
Mikki St. Germain<br />
Mikki is a a native New Yorker, transplanted to Southern California for the<br />
past 25 years. She attended Florida Atlantic University, where she earned her<br />
degree in Marketing & Advertising. She is a certified life coach studying under<br />
Dr. Shad Helmstetter, and has a health coaching certification through Dr. Bill<br />
Sears.<br />
Mikki earned her second degree black belt and instructed for 20 years. An<br />
addition, She is accredited and certified through the National Federation of<br />
High School Education as a high school tackle football coach. Mikki has been coaching football<br />
from pop warner to high school over the past 14 years.<br />
She’s also an author of the “Got Baggage” series about her journey through an eating disorder.<br />
Currently she hosts two podcast shows, Coach Mikki & Friends. She invites everyone to join<br />
her circle of friends each Monday by tuning in on Amazon Music, Spotify and IHeart Radio! She<br />
says, “Arrive as you are, no perfection needed! We laugh, cry, share and lift each other up as<br />
friends. We are all unique and offer a gift to share to others.” She refers to herself as “Just an<br />
Ordinary Gal, trying to Live an Extraordinary Life!”<br />
