Acknowledgments
This book presents the results of a European Project funded under the schema of
ERASMUS+ (2015-1-LI01-KA203-000041). We are grateful for ERASMUS+’s
support, which has been vital in creating this consortium and producing results
that can now be applied and further developed by colleagues around the world.
While Roope Jaakonmäki from the University of Liechtenstein served as the project
coordinator and ensured that we succeeded in creating this cookbook, the results are
a joint effort to which all coauthors contributed. Therefore, Jaakonmäki is the first
author, and all other authors are listed in alphabetic order.
We also thank several people who helped in making this book possible. Special
thanks go to Peter Sommerauer, who initiated the project, and to Clarissa Frommelt
from National Agency LI01—Agentur für Internationale Bildungsangelegenheiten
(AIBA)—for her valuable support during the project. We are also deeply indebted to
Guido Forster, Michael Gau, Shaho Alaee, Magdalena Eggarter, Alin Secareanu,
and Dr. Sonia Lippe-Dada, all of whom contributed to various phases of the project.
We thank Dr. Miroslav Shaltev, who installed the first Wordpress instance on the
Server in Hannover, and Rubayet Hasan, who initiated the first version of the
website. Our thanks also go to Dr. Besnik Fetahu and Dr. Asmelash Teka Hadgu,
who contributed to the identification and description of some of the learning
analytics datasets. Finally, we thank the teacher and the students of the University
of Salento, Lecce, Italy, for providing a real teaching scenario.
