4.23 Stuake/Donoughmore
4.23.1 The vision for Stuake/Donoughmore is to secure a modest increase in the population of the settlement, to retain and
improve local services and facilities and to expand these facilities where appropriate.

Within the development boundary encourage the development of up to 5 additional dwelling units
during the plan period.
Encourage additional retail and services in the village commensurate with the scale of the village.
Village Centre Development. There is a derelict site close to Stuake village core that presents an
opportunity for redevelopment. Appropriate uses on site include limited convenience retailing or
business uses.
New development should be sensitively designed and planned to provide for the protection of
green infrastructure assets of the village and will only be permitted where it is shown that it is
compatible with the requirements of nature conservation directives and with environmental,
biodiversity and landscape protection policies as set out in Volume One Main Policy Material and
Volume Two Heritage and Amenity.
