The McAllen Public Library’s “Day of the Child”
honors children and childhood, promotes literacy
and the importance of linking all children to books,
languages, and cultures. By honoring home languages
and cultures, we promote bilingual and multilingual
literacy and promote global understanding through
reading.
Crowd pleasing book give-away!
Every child takes home a free book to encourage a
lifelong love of reading.
