The ‘Places for Everyone’ Joint Plan will
then be published at the beginning of
August 2021 for a consultation period of
8 weeks. From October to January 2022
the GMCA will analyse the feedback with
a view to submitting the final document to
the Secretary of State in January 2022.
Please look out for the ‘Places for
Everyone’ document so you can give
your feedback. This is not a normal
consultation as we’ve previously explained.
The ‘soundness’ of the Plan has to be
analysed. At present we are not sure
how the GMCA & Local Councils will
communicate the plan to the public, but
please look out for any communication.
In the next edition we will outline how you
can access the Plan and the best way to
give your feedback to specific sites.
Our Save the Greenbelt group are still
very supportive of the other groups both
in the Rochdale and Greater Manchester
areas who are fighting hard to save the
precious Greenbelt of our country.
A lot of proposed development sites within
the Rochdale borough will still seriously
affect the Milnrow & Newhey area, so
please help us by giving your feedback
to the Plan.
