CANNOCK CHASE CREMATORIUM IS TO HOLD A SPECIAL SERVICE THIS
MONTH TO COMMEMORATE THE LIVES OF BABIES LOST IN PREGNANCY OR
SOON AFTER BIRTH, IN SUPPORT OF BABY LOSS AWARENESS WEEK
Baby Loss Awareness Week, which
takes place from October 9 to 15,
is a national campaign in its 19th
year, which aims to bring together
communities to give anyone touched
by pregnancy and baby loss a safe
and supportive space to share their
experiences and feel that they are not
alone.
Cannock Chase Crematorium, on
Norton Road, Cannock, will be holding
a special service at 6pm on Thursday,
October 14, led by experienced
celebrant Sue McFadden. The service
will offer a safe, supportive space to
bring together those bereaved parents,
families and friends affected by losing a baby too soon.
Anyone touched by loss is invited to join the service
and mark the lives of these special babies.
Cannock Chase Crematorium will also join the global
Wave of Light at 7pm on Friday, October 15, lighting
the building in pink and blue in memory of all the
babies who lit up the lives of their loved ones for such
a short time.
Jo Walker, crematorium manager, said: “Baby loss
industry I have seen a sea change in the care afforded
to parents when their babies die and I am privileged to
be in a position here at Cannock Chase Crematorium
I hope this service offers some comfort to anyone
affected by pregnancy and baby loss.”
