NELSON
DEFENDER RYAN NELSEN arrived in W12 at the tail end
of his career as QPR looked to establish themselves in
England’s top division.
The New Zealand international went on to make 21 appearances
for the R’s, scoring once in an away draw at Wigan Athletic.
Nelsen enjoyed a seven-year spell at Ewood Park as Blackburn
become a regular mid-table side, before eventually departing
for Tottenham Hotspur in 2012.
The centre-half joined MLS outfit Toronto FC as head coach in
2013 but departed in August 2014.
