HOOPS
the work ethic they will demonstrate.
We have a great unity and a desire
to push forward as a squad, but it’s
the learning moments that are so
important and our recognising when
and how to manage key moments in
games. We demonstrated a naivety
on Saturday that undoubtedly hurt
us, but this squad will indeed learn
and will emerge stronger, of that I
have no doubt.
We’re now entering another manic
run of games, one that sees us play
seven matches in 21 days, and a
schedule that will challenge each
and every player. The key aspect
here is the loading of the players
and making sure we do everything
possible to ensure they’re as fresh
as possible for every fixture. Again,
this is where all the elements of
the department come together to
ensure that medically, physically
and analytically, the players are best
prepared for the demands presented
by this division.
Finally, and referring to Saturday’s
game again, our fanbase was again
out in force and giving the team
outstanding backing. It’s genuinely
a huge part of the disappointment
that our supporters leave such a
game in low spirits. We know what
the team means to so many people
and how results can have such a
huge impact on so many fronts,
especially the London derbies. Our
job is to galvanise our fanbase and
ensure you enjoy following the team.
The support has been magnificent
so far this season and I hope very
much that, going forward, we can
deliver the type of football that sees
you returning week after week.
Thank you again for the magnificent
backing.
Enjoy the game!
