GREAT FOR A TRIP TO VENICE
The islands are very popular around Christmas and
New Year. For the best prices we can look at the start
or end of the peak seasons. I’ve visited a few islands
myself – it can be a needle in a haystack and, like
many popular tourist destinations, standards do vary
a lot. Even within the five star category you do have
to be careful with your choice of island so just let
me know if you need guidance when booking your
Maldives luxury holiday with us.
Antigua has proved popular so far this year, with
one of the easiest entry requirements of all the
Caribbean islands. Many of the top hotels are
smaller and sell out early. If you want to visit the
island and soak up the Caribbean culture and see
the sights, Antigua is a good option. The island has
a handful of scenic spots and a great sunset party
at Shirley Heights. Direct flights are from London
with British Airways or Virgin, who offer upgrades to
Premium, Club/Upper and First Class (BA only).
This winter we welcome a new direct flight from
Manchester to Barbados with Aer Lingus (they
are also launching Orlando and New York too).

and bar scene if you want to
soak up the local vibe.

If you prefer your holiday not to be
too hot, some of our favourite luxury
hotels on the Andalusian coast are open year-round,
with heated pools and specific winter-time bars and
restaurants open to enjoy. Puente Romano and the
Marbella Club would be our top picks and we have
personally visited them, so we know which is best to
recommend to different clients. The interior design
at Marbella Club is superb and remains one of the
most sought after places to stay in the Marbella area.
THE WORLD’S GREATEST SHOW!
All eyes are on Dubai this winter as Expo 2020
finally opens after being delayed for a year. This
world fair spectacular includes innovative technology
and showcases the world of tomorrow.
Various countries from around the world have built
pavilions including Spain, which will showcase
a hyperloop vehicle made by Zeleros. Sweden’s
pavilion, The Forest, is a wooden structure designed
to reduce CO2 emissions and act as a carbon sink.
The event is colossal and will no doubt draw in
visitors from around the world and is a must-see for
