Die perfekte Mischung für eine lebenswerte
Stadt bedeutet nicht
Monokultur, sondern Diversität in der
Architektur und in der konzeptionellen
Nutzung. Wer in der Stadt seinen
Fußabdruck hinterlässt, sollte dafür
sorgen, dass öffentliche Orte sowie
eine Vielfalt an städtischen Lebensund
Raumkonzepten und eine mitgestaltbare,
urbane Kultur entstehen.
Attraktivität braucht Durchmischung.
Menschen wollen lebendige Quartiere,
die eine schöne Mischung aus
Kultur, Retail, Wohnen, Leben und
Arbeiten bieten. Integration und soziale
Aspekte nehmen dabei eine
immer zentralere Rolle ein. Immer
­häufiger gilt es, ­lebenswerte Quartiere
und Angebote zu schaffen, weil
die alte Methodik der beispielsweise
immer gleich wirkenden Einkaufsstraßen
nicht mehr greift. Ein neuer
Zeitgeist hält Einzug. Bei der Stadtentwicklung
geht es zunehmend darum,
eine hohe Qualität zu schaffen,
die lange Bestand hat, die gut altert,
die im Vorfeld gut durchdacht und
stark mit dem Umfeld und der Stadt
vernetzt ist. Hier haben Stadtplaner:innen
die Aufgabe, insbesondere das
Lokale zu stärken, denn alles Lokale
schafft Qualität und Einzigartigkeit.
Wir brauchen einen stärkeren integrativen
Ansatz der Stadtgestaltung
unter Einbeziehung aller Stakeholder.
Wir müssen nicht nur die
erwachsen en Bürger:innen der Stadt
zur Teil habe einladen, sondern auch
ihre Kinder. Unsere Aufgabe ist es,
einen strategischen Wandel herbeizuführen
und die Welt mit spannenden
Formaten „aufzumischen“.
How do we want to live tomorrow?
How do we dream the future of our
cities? As experts in destination development
we are often entrusted
with central urban project developments
in Germany or internationally
at an early stage. We advocate for a
responsible organization and use of
urban spaces and public places.
The perfect mix for a city worth living
in does not translate to a monoculture,
but diversity in architecture
and conceptual use. People living in
cities, should take responsibility for
the development of a variety of urban
living and space concepts as well as an
participatory, urban culture. Thereby,
a neighbourhood, a “Kiez” or a whole
city re present a complex system of
needs and wishes: trade and craft,
co-working and co-living, manufacturers
and maker-labs, urban farming
and urban culture: Appeal need
variety. People want lively neighbourhoods,
which offer a combination of
culture, retail, living, and work. Thereby,
integration and social aspects increasingly
take center stage. The support of
culture or the creation of a beautiful
place for children are integrated and
granted more space. More than ever, it
is important to create offers and neighbourhoods
worth living in, because the
old methods of the seemingly never
changing highstreet, for example, does
not work anymore. A new zeitgeist
finds its way into our cities. To create a
high quality, which lasts for a long time,
ages well, was conceived well in the
first place and is ­strongly ­connected
with the environment and the city,
increasingly becomes the most important
point. Here, city planners have
the task of supporting especially the
locals, because the everything local
creates quality and uniqueness.
We need a stronger integrative approach
for the city design while
involving all the stakeholders. Not
only the adult citiziens of a city should
be invited for participation but also
their children. A city has to act for the
purpose of sustainability and a good
variety, to be and stay worth living
in. Our task is to bring a strategic
transition to pass and to stir up the
world with interesting new formats.
