CITYMANAGEMENT KEMPTEN E.V.
Mit dem Mühlbachquartier haben
wir 2010 eine Entwicklung begonnen,
die Stadtentwicklung „bottom up“
betreibt und ganz massiv von den
Gewerbe treibenden des Quartiers
getragen wurde. Weil sich dieses
Vorgehen bewährt hat, betreiben
wir seit 2014 ein aktives Quartiersmanagement
für die gesamte nördliche
Innenstadt Kemptens, zu der
auch das Mühlbachquartier gehört.
Unser Fazit nach mehr als zehn
Jahren lautet: Das Projekt „Mühlbachquartier“
hat die Akteure vor Ort
positiv zusammengeschweißt. Das
Mühlbach quartier ist heute ein aktives
Quartier mit lebhafter Nutzung, in
dem die Menschen gerne leben und
zusammen kommen. Geprägt wird
das Mühlbachquartier weiterhin von
seinem starken, inhaber geführten
Handel, der in Kombination mit Kultur,
Gastronomie und Events für einen
multifunktionalen Mix mit hoher Aufenthaltsqualität
sorgt.
Für die Zukunft wissen wir, dass wir
im Citymanagement weitermachen
und dranbleiben müssen, z.B. indem
wir weitere Programme zur Stadtförderung
aufgreifen und umsetzen.
Unser Ziel ist es, das ganze Quartier
noch stärker auf Kunst und Kultur
auszurichten. Im Bereich der Kommunikation
müssen wir deshalb regional
und überregional klar machen,
welchen Wert der inhabergeführte
Handel hat und in Richtung des Handels
für eine digitale Anbindung wie
etwa durch „click & collect“ werben.
Auch in Kempten werden uns kün ftig
drei große Themen im Citymanagement
beschäftigen: Mobilität, Digitalisierung
und Nachhaltigkeit. Unsere
Rolle als Citymanager wird dabei zunehmend
die eines Kommunikators
und Vermittlers mit engem Draht
zur Politik, Wirtschaft und zu den
Bürgern und Bürgerinnen sein. Bei
allen Lösungen, die wir lokal entwickeln
müssen, gilt es, die Menschen
mit nehmen, denn dann leben sie
die getroffenen Entscheidungen
auch. Deshalb setzen wir stark auf
Bürgerbeteiligung und holen alle Akteure
mit ins Boot – denn nur so funktioniert
lokale Standortentwicklung.
With the Mühlbachquartier, we
started a development in 2010 that
pursued urban development “bottom
up” and was massively supported by
the local retailers of the neighbor hood.
The approach has proven successful,
so we have been running an active
neighborhood management for the
entire northern city center of Kempten,
which also includes the Mühlbach
quarter, since 2014. The experience
of more than ten years shows: The
project “Mühlbachquartier” has positively
welded the local actors together.
Today, the Mühlbachquartier is an
active neighborhood, where people
enjoy living and coming together. The
Mühlbachquartier continues to be
characterized by its strong, owner
managed retail trade, which, in combination
with culture, gastronomy and
events, provides a multifunctional mix
with a high quality of stay.
For the future, we know that we
must continue with an active city
management, e.g., by taking up and
implementing further city development
programs. Our goal is to focus
the whole neighborhood even more
on art and culture. In the area of
communication, we must therefore
highlight the value of owner-managed
retail and convince stationary retail for
a digital connection such as through
“click & collect”.
In Kempten, three major topics will
occupy us in city management in
the future: mobility, digitalization,
and sustainability. Our role as city
managers will increasingly be that of
a communicator and mediator with
close ties to politics, business, and
citizens. With all the solutions that we
must develop locally, it is important to
involve the people, because then they
will also live the decisions that are
made. That is why we rely heavily on
citizen participation and get all stakeholders
on board – because this is the
only way local location development
works.
