After the loss to Manabarana, Parakramabahu regrouped and attacked Manabarana in Pulattinagara.<br />
Parakramabahu was able to defeat Manabarana. Parakramabahu reinstated Gajabahu as the King in<br />
Pulattinagara and went back to his kingdom in South.<br />
Death of Gajabahu:<br />
King Gajabahu gave the kingdom to Parakramabahu and passed away. Parakramabahu arrived from<br />
Rohana and accepted the kingdom.<br />
Manabarana Comes with a Huge Army:<br />
Unhappy with this development, Manabarana <strong>com</strong>es with a great army and surrounds Pulattinagara.<br />
After a huge battle, Manabarana was able to cross the Mahavali river and reach Pulattinagara.<br />
King Parakramabahu’s generals suggested him to flee to Kelaniya. King Parakramabahu refuses to<br />
flee and decides to fight. Sensing victory, Manabarana blocks all the escape routes from Pulattinagara.<br />
The war dragged on and eventually Manabarana felt that he could not capture Pulattinagara from<br />
Parakramabahu. Manabarana goes back to Rohana and dies from a disease.<br />
After the death of Manabarana, King Parakramabahu became the sole monarch of the country.
